Metal Clay Today offers a cool Keum-Boo challenge

The editors at Metal Clay Today magazine are presenting a new juried challenge for Keum Boo metal clay jewelry and art. The deadline for the challenge is June 15.  You’ll find more details at www.metalclaytoday.com.

Keum-boo is a very cool and very ancient Korean method of bonding decorative gold foil to silver, using both pressure and heat. The results can be pretty spectacular.

The challenge got me remembering some of the  gorgeous Keum Boo work Jonna Faulkner has created over the years.

I’m looking forward to seeing the work to be entered.
