I’m sure you’ve already figured out that there have been some big doings around casa steverossman.com! I’ve been working on a heavily updated site for weeks now. I’m delighted today to unveil a raft of changes.
Here’s the line of thought…while I had lots of great feedback on my old site, the format felt restrictive. What to do? Apparently, it was time to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up.
So, while I still have the original blog (and all 130+ of my prior posts), I’ve moved it away from the front page and back into the body of the site.
I’ve added new pages that actually reflect what I do on a daily basis: jewelry photography and trade show photography, along with web and graphic design.
Using the top navigation and the four gateway image links you can get to virtually every active page on the site with one click.
I’m also in the process of adding an Etsy shop, where I’ll sell archival-quality unframed prints and art. The link to http://www.etsy.com is already made and my shop is set-up…I just don’t have artwork in it yet. Expect more news on this subject in a few days. The Etsy shop is important because it represents a great way to incorporate online selling into a WordPress site, since WordPress doesn’t yet offer online selling within its own platform.
Along with the new look and feel of the site, I’ve also pretty dramatically updated my logo.
I’d love to get your thoughts on the new site, navigation, design, graphics, etc. This is still very much a work in progress. So, if you have ideas or critiques, there’s still time to effect changes.
Thanks for visiting!
