Three rings by Katie Baum

I’m recently back from the Metal Clay World Conference in Chicago. As photographer for the conference, I had the pleasure of seeing and shooting an enormous amount of amazing work. And as I chatted with participants, the conference itself got rave reviews from everyone I met.

Here’s the first of the work from my time in Chicago.  Katie Baum, Director of the Art Clay
Society, Master Instructor and metal clay artist extraordinaire, created these wonderful silver metal clay rings. The second image is silver metal clay and keum-boo 24 kt gold.  The stones are CZs.  Katie teaches these rings and many other projects and techniques.  You can learn more about her work and her classes at http://www.artclaysociety.com.

The work was shot in a portable studio at the conference hotel in Chicago.

  1. Steve, with all those talented artists gathered in one place, it would be difficult for it not to be a smashing success! I’m glad they kept you busy as the conference photographer. They’re not only talented with metal clay but they acknowledged your excellent skills as a professional photographer! The photographs are superb! Katie’s work is beyond fabulous! Congrats! Judith

    Great job, Steve.
