The Naturalist’s Cabinet by Jonna Faulkner

Jonna will be teaching her Naturalist’s Cabinet pendant (along with her “Creative Clasps” class) in Santa Fe this September.  It’s being organized by the wonderful Elaine Clelland, and will take place in Tory Hughes’ studio on Upper Canyon Road.  For those who don’t know, Tory is one of the most influential artists in polymer clay.  You can see her work in Masters: Polymer Clay, published by Lark Crafts.

To get ready for the class, I took a new shot of the Naturalist’s Cabinet pendant, this time against a black field.  It’s a beautiful necklace and learning the required techniques makes for a great class.  Each student creates a unique piece through the selection of elements that decorate the pendant.
